Who We Are

Place in History, a nonprofit organization founded in 1997, examines urban development, decay, and redevelopment through community-based public art and public history projects. We are a volunteer, collaborative organization based in Brooklyn, New York. Since 2005, Place in History has been a co-sponsor with Ars Subterranea of Furnace Press.
